Because several people have asked, here is some information on TN's requirements of becoming a resource parent:
You can be married or single. You have to be at least 21 years old (18 if you're becoming resource parents to care for a relative). You have to be mentally and physically healthy enough to parent (a physician must agree to this). You have to make enough money to provide for the kids without the state board payment and have stable housing. You shouldn't smoke in your home or car with the kids.You should be able to work with birth parents as well as DCS.
