Spring 2008-Fall 2011- Enjoyed time together! Bought a house, worked, vacationed, Sara earned her Masters degree (and Daniel supported us through it)

2011-2012:
Fall 2011 & Winter 2012- Fertility testing, completing a long list of requirements to use "donor material" and 3 treatments (IUI with donor sperm) which were unsuccessful
Not interested in pursuing IVF with donor sperm
Spring 2012- Met with two local agencies about domestic adoption and looked into other national agencies and agencies in other states
4/19/2012- Inquired into PATH classes (to become foster parents)
Summer 2012- Completed PATH classes and homestudy process with DCS

Fall 2012- Received 8 foster care referrals (all out of range of what we were open to)
9/2012- Inquire into private situation through word of mouth- no response
10/2012- Inquire into three situations from adoptuskids.org (one child and two sibling groups- "not chosen", "no longer available", and "no response")
12/19/2012- Closed our home to foster care

2013:
1/15/2013- Attended domestic adoption orientation at local agency (see steps and timeline)
1/25/2013- Submitted preliminary application
1/31/2013- Preliminary application approved
2/12/2013- Submitted formal application
2/22/2013- Formal application approved
March 2013- Complete agency requirements for homestudy documentation
3/12/2013- First homestudy meeting (as a couple)
3/19/2013- Second homestudy meeting (home walk through)
3/27/2013- Third homestudy meeting (as individuals)
4/10/2013- Fourth homestudy meeting (develop service plan and approve written homestudy)
4/29/2013- Homestudy approved 
May 2013-current- Waiting for a match 
7/2013- Add ourselves to listing with an out-of-state adoption attorney (FL)
9/23/2013- Situation #1- Not chosen 
9/2013- Add ourselves to listing with another out-of-state adoption attorney (FL)
10/2013- Inquire into 2 private situations through word of mouth (1 not chosen, 1 was a scam/there was no baby)
11/2013- Inquire into 2 private situation through word of mouth (1 not chosen, 1 baby not placed) and 3 situations through 2 other agencies (1 was bait and switch- fees were twice was they advertised & 2 we weren't able to apply for due to state we live in); add ourselves to another list with an out-of-state adoption attorney (AR)
11/25/2013- Situation #2- Mom did not go through with placement so baby is going into foster care
12/4/13- Situation #3- Our agency notified us that our profile is being shown on 12/10/13 to an expectant mom due in April (waiting for response)
12/2013- Inquire into 2 situations through out of state agencies (1- not chosen, 1- no response) 
12/2013- Inquire into embryo adoption with NEDC

2014:
1/27/14- Consultation appointment at NEDC including mock/trial transfer and SHG (originally scheduled for May but got in much sooner on a cancellation)
2/19/14- Ultrasound for mock trial of estrace- lining too thin at 6.9mm- MD will adjust meds accordingly at real transfer
2/25/14- Homestudy meeting (annual update- home walk through) 
3/18/14- Receive profiles and select donor family we would like to be matched with
3/20/14- Hear back that donor family wants to match with us!
3/27/14- Conference call to negotiate open donation agreement
4/2/14- Submit notarized open donor agreement 
4/10/14- Receive transfer protocol for May transfer
4/11/14- Put ourselves on hold through adoption agency; Both ours and the donors' open donor agreements have been filed with the mediator and sent to the clinic
4/24/14- Baseline ultrasound & bloodwork for May transfer
5/9/14- Lining check ultrasound & bloodwork for May transfer (8.7mm)
5/14/14- Transfer of two embryos; two died in thawing 
5/27/14- First beta: negative, progesterone around 50
6/4/14- Post-transfer phone consult with doctor
6/5/14- Receive profiles for backup donors
6/6/14- Select backup donor family we would like to be matched with 
6/12/14- Notified backup donor will not agree to mixing so unable to match; Select second backup donor family we would like to be matched with; Notified second backup donor family wants to match with us!
6/17/14- Conference call to negotiate open donor agreement  
6/25/14- Baseline ultrasound & bloodwork for July transfer as well as endometrial scraping
7/11/14- Lining check ultrasound & bloodwork for July transfer (6.8mm)
7/16/14- Transfer of two embryos; one died in thawing
7/25/14- Positive home pregnancy test at 9dp3dt (or 12 dpo)
7/28/14- First beta: Positive (176), progesterone- 63 (at 15 dpo)
7/30/14- Second beta: Positive (345) (at 17 dpo)
8/4/14- Post transfer consult with doctor (by phone)
8/10/14- Experienced some bleeding- I am 6w
8/11/14- Moved up ultrasound- I am 6w1d; two sacs (one empty and one with yolk sac and fetal pole measuring two days behind at 5w6d)
8/15/14- Originally scheduled ultrasound- I am 6w5d (baby measuring three days behind at 6w2d and no heartbeat- clinic had wrong date- had me dated 7w when I was 6w5d)
8/21/14- Follow-up ultrasound to assess for growth and a heartbeat- I am 7w4d (baby continues to measure behind but grew 3mm in 6 days; heartbeat was 106 bpm!)
8/28/14- Follow-up ultrasound to assess for growth and continued heartbeat- I am 8w4d (baby's heart stopped beating and only grew .5mm in 7 days)
8/29/14- Have d&c 
9/3/14- Go to ER with significant bleeding and cramping; required a repeat d&c 
9/15/14- Consultation with RE about genetic testing- results not received; ultrasound shows retained "stuff" but not thought to be any more tissue
9/23/14- Receive more profiles for embryos & select family we would like to match with
10/1/14- Consultation with Dr. K about third cycle (by phone)
10/3/14- Notified family wants to match with us
10/6/14- Conference call to negotiate open donor agreement
10/8/14- SIS ultrasound to check for scarring and adhesions
10/27/14- Baseline ultrasound and bloodwork for November transfer, as well as endometrial scraping
11/14/14- Lining check ultrasound and bloodwork for November transfer (7.9 mm)
11/19/14- Transfer of 2 embryos
11/23/14-Positive home pregnancy test at 4dp5dt (or 9 dpo)
11/28/14- First beta: Positive (226), progesterone- 33 (at 14 dpo)
12/1/14- Second beta: Positive (773) (at 17 dpo)
12/15/14- Scheduled ultrasound at 6w3d- one sac with a baby- heartrate 127bpm and baby measuring 6w3d (progesterone- 70.4, estrogen- 925)
12/19/14- Unscheduled ultrasound at 7w due to bleeding - found a blood pocket/SCH in uterus - baby's heartrate 153 bpm and measuring 6w6d
12/30/14- Add on ultrasound at 8w3d to check on blood pocket

2015:
1/5/15-  Scheduled ultrasound at 9w3d to assess growth and draw labs 
1/7/15- Begin weaning medication at 9w5d (half medication)
1/14/15- Labwork to check estrogen and progesterone levels (Estradiol is 3005; Progesterone is 43.9); completely stop medication at 10w5d
1/19/15- Labwork to check estrogen and progesterone levels; they are stable- released from NEDC; appointment with OB due to menstrual type cramping for several days; ultrasound which shows baby measuring three days ahead; due date is changed 
1/26/15- Scheduled OB intake- had bloodwork done
1/28/15- ER visit for heavy red bleeding; diagnosed with SCH; baby is measuring on track with new estimate at 13w1d
2/13/15- Elective ultrasound to determine baby's sex... we're having a BOY
3/18/15- Anatomy scan... all looks well!
3/26/15- ER visit for being involved in a major car accident; baby's heartbeat is well and no contractions
6/24/15- Scheduled ultrasound at 34w1d to assess growth and position; 77th percentile, head down, and all is well.
7/30/15- I had regular contractions and went into L&D but was sent home 
8/3/15- I went to the OB first thing in the morning, after nearly 5 straight days of contractions that weren't progressing me- he scheduled induction for the following morning
8/4/15- Baby Boy arrived- I went into progressing labor just hours prior to my induction- I was in active labor about 12 hours, with 50 minutes of that pushing- Baby Boy entered the world at 8lb, 10 oz and 20 inches
10/2015- Baby Boy's genetic mom came to visit and stayed with us for several days; later that month Baby Boy and I flew to the West Coast so Baby Boy could meet his genetic dad and siblings
