Stupid Things People Say...

I have always heard of people being told to "just relax" or "go on vacation" to get pregnant, but no one has said that to me... until today. Somehow, I wonder how those things would get me pregnant. Should I relax on a fertility center's table in say, Hawaii or Florida, while they implant donor sperm embryos in me??

People, learn when to keep your trap shut. Don't ask people when they are starting a family. It's none of your business and may be out of their control anyway. And please don't give "tips". I shouldn't have to explain that my husband had a vasectomy because he has an inheritable genetic disease that we didn't want to pass on, unless I want to bring it up.

Yes, I have a blog documenting our process, and yes I believe for me it is important to be open because so many people live in shame, isolation, or secrecy when they should not have to. However, sensitive information should be my prerogative to share, not something I am pressured to say when people have no manners.
