I squeaked by the three hour test. It was pretty miserable about 30 minutes in. I felt like asking them to fail me. The four blood draws in three hours sucked, but it was worse to feel nauseous and icky. I'm just glad I'm not diabetic. I'm being extra mindful of my carbs, though, just incase.
I'm now nearly 28 weeks, so I'm 2/3 way through.
I don't have ankles when I don't wear compression socks. And I can't wear compression socks with shorts. So it's going to be a long (or unstylish) summer! I'm not complaining because it's temporary and all worth it. Just a little depressing.

Hahahaha- I think this calls for a fashion blogging post!!! I need to see your shorts + compression socks ensembles- it could be the newest trend!!
ReplyDeleteSo glad you passed! I totally rocked the shorts + compression socks + slip-on granny shoes all summer while pregnant with Leland. Yea for November transfers & summer babies!
ReplyDeleteMaxi Skirts?
ReplyDeleteOoh, I'm with Melissa - maxi skirts are the best! Or even light palazzo pants.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you passed the test. But I'm sorry you're so uncomfortable. Discomfort is the worst. You can't even get good sympathy from people because nobody's sick or dying. You're just, you know, UNCOMFORTABLE. So I will give you EXTRA sympathy because discomfort is awful. It really is.
I tried on maxi skirts at Motherhood Maternity and they were ugly, at least on me. I'm short. Target didn't have any. Other suggestions where to find one with a maternity waist band? Luckily I can wear the socks M-F with scrubs and Sunday I can wear sandals long enough to go to church. It's my Saturday wardrobe that has me stumped. A skirt does seem better than knee high white socks with shorts. :P what shoes? I feel better with tennis shoes right now but tennis shoes, knee high socks, and a skirt??? Maybe I need to take Erica's advice and take various pictures and let you loyal ladies vote on what is the least ugly!!!
